Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, arranged a lavish dinner for Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Global Chief.
New Delhi: When it comes to discussing issues, Kangana Ranaut isn't hesitant to express her thoughts. ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, the actress's debut feature film, was just shown at an Amazon Prime Video event.
After the gathering, the actress took to Instagram to poke fun at a Netflix executive who was in attendance at a star-studded party thrown by Karan Johar.
For the uninitiated, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, arranged a lavish dinner for Bela Bajaria, Netflix's Global Chief, last weekend. Several Bollywood celebs, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Jahnvi Kapoor, and many more, were in attendance at the celebration.
Ranaut said on Instagram that Amazon Prime Video worked better in India than Netflix. She also referred to Karan Johar as a 'fading 90s filmmaker' in a separate piece. It was a lengthy post which reads, “Data suggests that Amazon Prime Video is doing way better than Netflix in India maybe because they are much more open minded and democratic, when international head visits India they don’t park themselves at a fading 90s director’s infamous party but meet everyone who is contributing to them…”
She further added, “Last I heard Netflix head was not able to understand Indian market… Well Indian market is not just one b***hy gossipy nineties director…. There are hundreds of talented people here,"
With regard to her acting career, Kangana Ranaut is now filming the action thriller ‘Dhaakad’.
