Aamir Khan And Aishwarya Rai Reimagine ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh’ In Viral Throwback Clip. Watch

The viral clip features Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dancing together to the iconic track 'Tujhe Dekha Toh' from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

The romance of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is timeless, and so is the music that defined it. Nearly three decades after the release of the film, a resurfaced video has reignited the imagination of fans — but with an unexpected twist. The viral clip features Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dancing together to the iconic track 'Tujhe Dekha Toh'.

Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai's old viral video

In the video, believed to be from a televised awards ceremony, Aishwarya stuns in a flowing pink lehenga while Aamir channels Shah Rukh Khan’s signature look from the film, complete with a leather jacket. The duo’s captivating stage chemistry, especially a moment where Aamir drops to his knees mid-routine, has fans speculating on what might have been if they had ever co-starred in a romantic drama.

The song, originally sung by Kumar Sanu and Lata Mangeshkar, remains a cultural touchstone — etched into the memories of audiences who grew up on the magic of Raj and Simran. Seeing two of Bollywood’s other biggest stars recreate the moment has only added to the nostalgia.

Aishwarya Rai and Aamir Khan onscreen misses

Interestingly, there were many times when Aamir and Aishwarya were almost cast opposite each other. Director Dharmesh Darshan revealed in a past interview with Bollywood Hungama that he had Aishwarya in mind for multiple projects opposite Aamir — including 'Mela' and 'Raja Hindustani'.

“She was also my first choice for the role of Memsaab in Raja Hindustani (1996). My heart was on her. But she urgently had to go for Miss World. I didn’t want to take any chances, as I wanted an actress who could devote her full time to the film and Bollywood. It was her sheer grace that she didn’t hold it in her heart,” Darshan recalled.

There was yet another near miss in the year 2000, when Josh director Mansoor Khan considered pairing Aamir and Aishwarya on screen. “I was intending to cast Aamir as the romantic lead opposite Aishwarya. But when I narrated the script to Aamir, he thought he was playing Max,” Mansoor shared in an interview. “Then I went to Shah Rukh; he was really excited about Max. I narrated it to him; he suggested a lot of things for Max’s character.” Mansoor admitted that ultimately, casting both superstars in one film wasn’t feasible, and the idea was shelved.
