The 2021 Billboard Music Awards took place on Sunday evening. Hosted by Nick Jonas, the BBMAs were broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and aired on NBC. The awards celebrate music artists who achieved considerable success on the Billboard charts from March 21, 2020, through April 3, 2021.
Singer-composer The Weeknd, who led the pack of nominees as a finalist in 16 categories, swept the ceremony, picking up 10 trophies, including the biggest win of the night, for Top Artist. He also took home awards for Top 100 Artist and for Top Hot 100 Song, for his inescapable smash "Blinding Lights."
Other top winners included Pop Smoke and BTS.
