Yogi Adityanath ‘Will Come Dressed In Lungi To Teach Us When There's No...’: KCR Slams UP CM

KCR also mocked Karnataka Deputy CM Shivakumar, saying he is talking in Telangana about the Siddaramaiah-led government's five hours of free power for farmers while the BRS government offers 24 hours.

Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao slammed his UP counterpart Yogi Adityanath on Sunday, saying he is coming to Telangana and preaching lessons while his own state has no food guarantee. Speaking at three different rallies in the run-up to the November 30 Assembly elections, KCR mocked Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, saying he is talking in Telangana about the Siddaramaiah-led government's five hours of free power for farmers while the BRS government offers 24 hours.

"A number of great people are arriving in the state. One Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, dressed in a lungi, will visit here. In his state, there is no food guarantee. He comes here and instructs us. Agriculture labourers from UP, Bihar, and Bengal are migrating to Telangana in search of work. They are coming here to make a living. Those chief ministers are instructing us. I'm not sure what I should say about it," Rao said, criticising Adityanath, according to news agency PTI.

According to KCR, the state has been progressing and has risen to first place in several categories, including per capita income and power.

"BRS guards Telangana like Karna's Kavach (from the Mahabharat). BRS was founded for the sake of Telangana, its development, and the protection of Telangana people and their rights," he added, according to PTI.

"Congress leaders never thought of irrigation projects that would benefit Telangana people," KCR said of the Nagarjuna Sagar irrigation project, the report said.

He claimed that the Congress party has been power hungry in Telangana for the past ten years and that if it gains power, the middlemen's regime will follow.

Rao stated that amounts for social pensions and Rythu Bandhu will be increased gradually, as promised in the BRS manifesto.

Rao stated that Telangana, which had previously experienced drought and migration, has seen development as a result of peace and tranquillity.

"Telangana ranks first in both per capita income and per capita power consumption. Previously, per capita power consumption had doubled to 2200 units from 1100 units, according to the report.

According to the report, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat does not provide farmers with free power for 24 hours. Without naming the Congress, he claimed that Muslims and Dalits were previously treated as vote banks.

He stated that several people will come to vote during elections and that people should be cautious.

Accoridng to the report, the BRS chief claimed that the Congress party cheated Telangana residents by delaying the formation of the state for 14-15 years despite promising it.

"It is not that you (Congress) gave Telangana, but we earned it," he went on to say.

According to him, Telangana is the first state to have implemented Rythu Bandhu, or farmer investment assistance.

If the Congress Party wins power, he claims, they will abolish Dharani, an integrated land management portal, reintroducing the era of the middlemen.
