New Delhi: Shia Waqf board chairnman Wasim Rizvi passed a sexist remark at Congress’ general secretary for UP East Priyanka Gandhi that has landed him in controversy. Rizvi who is known to be an ardent supporter of Ram Mandir construction, said about Priyanka that there was no need for her to enter politics as she is beautiful. He also targeted the Gandhi family and said that the entire family is Muslim and they do not believe in existence of Lord Ram. Rizvi made the remarks in Ayodhya while addressing the media. About Priyanka Gandhi Vadra he said,  She is beautiful. There was no need of her to come into politics. He further said that he would have given her a role in his movie ‘Ram Janmabhoomi’ as Zafar Khan’s daughter-in-law if she had approached him. Rizvi was referring to his recent film on the Ayodhya controversy. In Uttar Pradesh, electioneering has stooped to a new low as political leaders are increasingly resorting to personal attacks on their adversaries. Recently, UP Power Minister Shrikant Sharma stirred up controversy with his tweet terming the Congress president a "coward and impotent". The comments triggered a war of words between the two parties as well as on social media platform. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also finds mention in the list of leaders accused of making personal remarks against political rivals. He recently termed Congress candidate from Saharanpur, Imran Masood, the son-in-law of  Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Azhar Masood. WATCH:
