'There Is Adani, Ambani Caste But Modi Said...': Rahul's Caste Census Pitch In Rajasthan

Rahul Gandhi has taken a swipe at PM Modi during his caste census pitch while addressing an election rally in Rajasthan.

Rahul Gandhi has once again raised the Adani issue and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the BJP of favouring a selected few billionaires while neglecting the poor as he addressed a rally in poll-bound Rajasthan. He also doubled down on his party's pitch for caste census and attacked the Prime Minister saying, "Modi said there is only one caste in the country- the poor but he did not say that there is another caste of billionaires also. That is Adani, Ambani's caste. They have a special caste."

“If it is not known whose population is how much, then how will we talk about participation,” he said Udaipur's Vallabhnagar.

Attacking the BJP, giving the Congress a tough fight to come back to power in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi said, "The question is, why is BJP spreading hatred in the country? I want to tell you two things, the reason for hatred is unemployment and inflation. The system of the BJP is taking away your attention from unemployment and inflation to hatred. The target of BJP and RSS is that the poor, labourers, farmers, tribals and Dalits be kept away from money. They want all the money to be given to a handful of billionaires."

The Congress also released its manifesto in Rajasthan on Tuesday and promised interest-free loan of Rs 2 lakh for famers. The party also assured caste census if re-elected to power in the state. The manifesto was released by party chieh Mallikarjun Kharge. Apart from these, the party also promised various schemes for farmers and youth, including employment opportunites and new recruitment scheme at the panchayat level.

Releasing the manifesto, Kharge said, “We make promises which we can fulfil.” Taking a swipe at PM Modi's tenure as the Gujarat CM, he said, "There are many shortcomings in Gujarat where a person remained the chief minister for 13 years and the same person is the prime minister. The reason (for shortcomings) is lack of commitment.”
