New Delhi: A video of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi performing a traditional dance with tribal women at Morpirla village in South Goa has gone viral. The Congress general secretary was on a day-long visit to poll-bound Goa on Friday.

Dressed in a red saree, Priyanka Gandhi was seen matching steps with the tribal women. Later, she also interacted with the women during her visit to Morpirla village in the Quepem assembly segment.

The Congress’s campaign in Goa, being spearheaded by Priyanka Gandhi, is focusing on wooing the women voters.

Addressing the gathering, Priyanka Gandhi promised 30 per cent reservation in jobs for women if Congress was voted to power in the upcoming assembly polls in Goa.

"When you go to vote this time, first of all think about yourself, your state and your family. Vote for the party that will solve your issues," Priyanka Gandhi said.

Priyanka Gandhi said a balance should be maintained between development and environmental protection.

"You will have to save your environment, water, sea, farming. You will have to think which is the party that will work for you," PTI quoted Priyanka Gandhi as saying. She also assured the people on solving issues like water scarcity and unemployment in Goa.

In a swipe at AAP, which is also in the fray in Goa polls, Priyanka asked people to be aware of new parties coming in the state from "outside".

"Many parties will come from outside. These days new parties are coming. Have they done development? I am from Delhi, the AAP is from Delhi. There is so much pollution in Delhi that you can't even breathe," Gandhi said.

Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, AICC Goa desk in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar and party spokesman Altone D'Costa were also present at the event.
