Scuffle Breaks Out Between Congress-JD(S) Workers
In connection with the incident, a scuffle broke out between Congress and JD(S) workers outside a hotel where JD(S) Core Committee meeting was underway on Tuesday.
The Congress workers gathered in large numbers on Monday and staged protests in Hubballi, Hassan, and Bengaluru. The All India Mahila Congress President Alka Lamba led a protest outside the office of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee in Bengaluru. Additionally, on Sunday, the Congress-led government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations against the Hassan MP and Lok Sabha Election candidate.
However, the police said that after the videos went viral, he fled the country after voting on April 26.
The case came to light after a complaint was filed by a woman who worked in the household of Prajwal Revanna. Following this, the police also lodged two FIRs against the sitting MP.
The circulation of pen drives containing these videos, reportedly totaling 2,976 clips, has further heightened the controversy. The scandal allegedly occurred between 2019 and 2022.
