PM Narendra Modi Interview: Here's What Prime Minister Said On Kashmir In Chat With ABP Network

"My relationship with Kashmir is very old. I worked there when I was a Sanghthan (RSS) worker there. I have been with the people of Kashmir. Years later, when I became the Prime Minister, I visited Kashmir the day it was experiencing a massive flood. Srinagar was flooded, and the Chief Minister was somewhere else. I visited the places affected. I met with officials at the Airport and allocated 1,000 crore rupees then and there," the Prime Minister said.

"Today, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir Bank has increased. It is a profit-making bank now. During Covid times, I used to take special care of Jammu and Kashmir. I wanted tourist destinations to become Covid-free so that people's livelihoods based on tourism could get on track immediately. I initiated the first vaccination drives there," he added.

He said further, "I am happy that Kashmir has voted. BJP is not even in the contest. I am glad that 60% of the population voted for this country."
