'India Dreams Big Now': PM Modi Launches 2,000 Railway Projects Worth Over Rs 41,000 Cr

PM Modi launched 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore during Viksit Bharat Viskit Railways event today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched around 2,000 Railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore via video-conferencing. Lakhs of people including several governors, chief ministers, MLAs, and people from 1500 venues and 500 railway stations connected with the 'Viksit Bharat Viskit Railways' event virtually. During the event PM Modi stated: "Today, the foundation stone of more than 2,000 projects related to railways has been laid and inaugurated.  The third term of this government is going to start from June but the scale and speed with which work has been started is surprising everyone."

He further stated: "Today's program is a symbol of the new work culture of new India. Whatever India does today, it does with unprecedented speed, today's India has stopped dreaming of small things, we dream big and work day and night to fulfil them, this is the resolve of this developed India."

The prime minister stated that the scale of development in the country had gained momentum recently, and mentioned the recent projects worth over Rs 32,000 crore and Rs 4150 crores launched by him in Jammu and Gujarat respectively. 

"People have seen a new India being built in the last 10 years," PM Modi said during the video address. He also highlighted the transformation in the railways, including the launch of Vande Bharat trains, an emphasis on cleanliness and electrification of tracks. 

PM Modi stated: "Yesterday from Rajkot, I inaugurated 5 AIIMS and several other medical institutions. Today, the foundation stone for the re-development of 554 Railway stations in over 300 districts in 27 states has been done. I have also inaugurated the Gomti Nagar railways station in Uttar Pradesh. Today, the foundation stone for constructing 1500 Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges over Indian Railways have also been done."

PM Modi congratulated the youth of the country stating that they are the real beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat. While stating that the "youth have the maximum right to decide how Viksit Bharat will unfold" he claimed that these development projects will create employment opportunities for lakhs of youth.
