PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of Kalki Dham Temple In UP's Sambhal Today On Ex-Congress Leader's Invite

The temple is being built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, whose chairman is Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was expelled from the Congress for "anti-party remarks."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to Uttar Pradesh on Monday, where he will lay the foundation stone for the Shri Kalki Dham Temple in Sambhal district and address a gathering, according to an official statement, news agency PTI reported. The temple is being built by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust, whose chairman is Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who was expelled from the Congress for "anti-party remarks" days after meeting PM Modi and inviting him to lay the foundation stone.

Speaking with media, Acharya Pramod Krishnam said: "It is a matter of pride for us that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation of Shri Kalki Dham today. PM Modi will reach here around 10:25 am. PM Modi will install the main stone in the sanctum sanctorum of the Shri Kalki Dham."

Several saints, religious leaders, and other dignitaries will attend the ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., according to a statement issued on Saturday.

Around 1:45 p.m., the prime minister will launch 14,000 projects in Uttar Pradesh valued more than Rs 10 lakh crore at the fourth ground-breaking event for investment proposals submitted during the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 (UPGIS 2023).

The projects are in areas such as manufacturing, renewable energy, information technology and IT-enabled services, food processing, housing and real estate, hotel and entertainment, and education, among others.

The event will be attended by more than 5,000 people, including businessmen, representatives from prominent global and Indian businesses, ambassadors and high commissioners, and other important visitors.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Uttar Pradesh Minister for Industry Nand Gopal Gupta will attend the ceremony. 

Investment plans totaling Rs 1.57 lakh crore would be implemented in eight aspirational districts in Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister established the aspirational districts plan in January 2018 as part of the government's attempts to improve living conditions in backward areas. Uttar Pradesh's aspirational districts include Bahraich, Balrampur, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, and Sonbhadra.
