PM Modi Lambasts I.N.D.I.A In Karnataka, Says Bloc 'Has No Leader Nor Vision And History Of Scams'

In Karnataka, PM Modi emphasised his government's focus on benefiting SC, ST, and OBC families, claiming that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the last decade.

A day after the first phase of voting for Lok Sabha elections 2024 came to an end, Prime Minister Modi declared the first phase as favorable to the NDA and "Viksit Bharat" at a poll rally in Karnataka. Amping up his attack on Opposition, the PM alleged that I.N.D.I.A bloc had no leader, no vision for future, and their history was one of scams. Further, highlighting the achievements of his government, he said emphasised his government's focus on benefiting SC, ST, and OBC families, claiming that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the last decade. 

In the election rally on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi said that the first phase of LS elections has gone in favour of NDA and "Viksit Bharat" at Karnataka poll rally. The PM said, "The first phase of voting, has increased the excitement in the country. And I can see this excitement here also. In the first phase, voting was done in favour of NDA and Viksit Bharat. "

The PM said: "Today I have come among all of you with my report card to seek your blessings... For you, I left no stone unturned in working hard day and night. Your dream is my resolution. Every second of my life is dedicated to you and the country. 24/7 for 2047... I just don't make policies, I give guarantees also."

However, he attacked the previous governments and said that they made SC, ST and OBC families to live in slums without access to electricity and water. He said, "The biggest beneficiaries of the Modi government are SC, ST, and OBC families. In earlier governments, SC, ST, and OBC families were made to live in slums, they did not have access to electricity and water. They had lost all hope in the government. Your lost faith has been reinstated in the Modi government because of Mod's guarantee. In the last 10 years, 25 crore people have come out of poverty."

Prime Minister Modi rallied for party candidates in Bengaluru's North, Central, South, and Rural constituencies at the Palace Grounds on Saturday. Bengaluru city currently stands as a stronghold for the BJP, with all three of its MPs representing the saffron party.

Minister of State for Agriculture, Shobha Karandlaje, previously representing Udupi-Chikmagalur, will now contest from Bengaluru North in the upcoming phase 2 of the Lok Sabha polls. Additionally, the BJP has nominated former state Health Minister K Sudhakar as its candidate from Chikkballapura constituency.

From the time of announcement of Lok Sabha poll schedule, this is the fourth visit of PM Modi to Karnataka. 

Karnataka is set to vote in the second and third phases of Lok Sabha polls on April 26 and May 7.
