NCP's Sharad Pawar Reacts To Ajit's Claim Of Eyeing BJP Tie-Up, Gets Candid On Rahul Gandhi As Modi Challenger
When asked about why did his nephew Ajit left his side, Sharad Pawar stated: "Ask Ajit Pawar for the answer."
A day after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar claimed that his uncle and NCP founder Sharad Pawar was willing to join hands with BJP several times in the past, NCP-SP chief on Tuesday stated that he will not be going with the saffron party. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Sharad Pawar said: "Did we go with the BJP? People talk."
When asked about why did his nephew Ajit left his side, Sharad stated: "Ask Ajit Pawar for the answer. Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused some people a few days ago. He claimed that the NCP is a corrupt party. PM Modi made allegations against some NCP leaders. Because of this, someone's reputation can be tarnished, and someone else find their own path."

Sharad Pawar stated that last year a lot of leaders came forward and asked for a change in government, claiming "allegations were being made against us, and we could be thrown into jail if we came to power. So, if someone wants a way out, it's their right."
On PM Modi's "Mission 400", Sharad said: "People are unhappy with the BJP. We'll have to see how much dissatisfaction translates into votes, and how successful our opposition is in bringing disgruntled people to the polling booths."
As Lok Sabha poll are underway, the big question that is rotating in everyone's mind is that whether Rahul Gandhi can be a competent face in front of PM Modi? In response to this question, Sharad Pawar stated: "An alternate leadership can emerge giving a path forward. People want change. Therefore, whether there is a face or not, if people want change, there's no need for a particular face."
