Maharashtra Election 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its third list of 25 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections on Monday, including two former Congress members and the personal assistant of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This latest announcement brings the total number of candidates declared by the BJP to 146 for the 288-member assembly. The polls are scheduled for November 20, with results set to be announced on November 23.
Among the notable nominations, Jitesh Antapurkar, who previously won a bypoll in 2021 on a Congress ticket and is known to have a close relationship with former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, will contest from the Deglur constituency.
