New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the BJP does not disrespect anyone's religious faith, it just follows the Constitution, while speaking on the issue of Triple Talaq at a public meeting in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. He launched a fresh attack at the opposition parties and said that the ‘Mahamilavati’ parties do not want to acknowledge India’s success and its rapidly growing strength. PM Modi was speaking on the issue of Triple Talaq and said: “Teen Talaq is not a practice even in Muslim countries. We want to remove the evils of this practice so that our Muslim sisters can get their rights.” “Our Constitution provides equal rights to both men and women. It is not that we disrespect anybody’s religious faiths, we just respect what our constitution upholds,” he added. Addressing a massive crowd PM said that every Indian is today proud that India is among powerful countries now; other countries listen seriously  to what India says. Citing the achievements of India in the international arena, PM Modi said: “I requested  Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed-bin-Salman, to release 850 Indian prisoners before Ramzan and he agreed.” He said, India attacked terrorists in their home; and then with its efforts got the United Nations Security Council to proscribe Masood Azhar, and now Pakistan is left with no option. It is forced to take action against Masood Azhar. “ But Mahamilavati people are not accepting this success.” He added. He said that the country has seen four types of government - 'naampanthi' (dynastic rulers), 'vampanthi' (left), 'damanpanthi' (rulers using money and muscle power) and now 'vikaspanthi' which talks of development. The PM also charged that the Congress was interested only in the welfare of its own leaders and their close family members. Taking a swipe at the opposition alliance, he said, "What shall I say about the 'mahamilawati' parties that do not want to acknowledge India's growing strength in the international arena?". He said the opposition parties relate the surgical strikes with Lok Sabha polls, "but, everything should not be seen through the prism of elections." Charging the opposition parties with dabbling in corruption when in power in the past, Modi said there was no blot on his image during his long stint as chief minister and five years as prime minister. Bhadohi, famous for its carpets, has a sizeable Muslim population. It goes to polls on May 12 in the sixth phase
