AAP Leader Sanjay Singh Meets Bhagwant Mann In First Visit To Punjab After Getting Released From Jail
AAP MP Sanjay Singh visited Punjab and met CM Bhagwant Mann at his residence in Chandigarh.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh visited Punjab and met CM Bhagwant Mann at his residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday. This is Singh's first visit to Punjab after being released from jail.

In the absence of AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, Singh and Mann have the big responsibility of steering the party's election campaign on their shoulders, they said.

Singh and Mann will hold a meeting with AAP MLAs regarding the Lok Sabha elections, news agency PTI reported, citing sources. Yesterday Bhagwant Mann campaigned in Kurukshetra. Polling for Punjab's 13 Lok Sabha seats will be held on June 1.
Last week, the Supreme Court granted bail to Sanjay Singh in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. The apex court however said that the concession granted to Singh cannot be treated as a precedentfor others. A bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna said that in view of statement made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Sanjay Singh has to be released on terms and conditions that may be fixed by trial court. The court also allowed Singh to take part in political activities.
On Sunday, Sanjay Singh said that the BJP is the most corrupt political party since the nation got independence, adding that its leaders should be investigated for committing "electoral bonds scam".
"You cannot trust them on anything. BJP is most corrupt party since independence. They are openly involved in corruption. In the BJP tenure, a total of off Rs 15 lakh crore of various businessmen has been written off. In their tenure, demonetisation scam, Hindenburg report which revealed another scam, electoral bond scam happened," Sanjay Singh told ANI.
