Karnataka BJP Chief Questions 'Delay' In Resignation Of Minister B. Nagendra Over Valmiki Corp 'Scam': 'Why Is CM Hesitating?'
Nagendra was reportedly seen at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday fueling further rumors about his imminent departure.
Amid growing speculation that Minister of Youth and Tribal Welfare B Nagendra is likely to tender his resignation on Thursday, Karnataka BJP chief Vijayendra Yediyurappa has publicly questioned Chief Minister's alleged hesitation in accepting Nagendra's resignation. Nagendra was reportedly seen at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday, fueling further rumors about his imminent departure.
Karnataka BJP chief Vijayendra Yediyurappa said, "We have been hearing about his (minister B Nagendra) resignation since last couple of day but the concerned minister, B Nagendra, continues to be a minister even today. My question is - why the chief minister is hesitating to take the resignation of B Nagendra? When hundreds of crores have been transferred to Hyderabad, when fake accounts have been created by officials... I don't think any official will do all this without the consent of the concerned minister."

Karnataka Valmiki Development Corporation scam
Nagendra, a four-time MLA, is allegedly involved in the illegal transfer of Rs 187.3 crore from the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation to various corporate accounts. The funds were reportedly transferred to accounts in Union Bank of India, which subsequently filed a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI has already filed an FIR in the case and is actively investigating the matter.
The issue came to light after a 45-year-old Corporation Superintendent Chandrashekharan died by suicide on May 6 leaving behind a note that implicated "a minister" who had allegedly ordered the money transfer.
