Mathura: Actor-turned-politician and sitting BJP MP from Mathura Hema Malini, who is seeking a second term in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, stepped up her campaign efforts in her parliamentary seat ahead of the general elections.
Hema on Sunday was photographed working in a field, carrying bundles of freshly harvested wheat crop along with women workers, during her campaign trail in the parliamentary constituency.
On March 25, Hema had filed her nomination for the seat indicating that it might be her last elections. "There are several committed new young aspirants in the party. I would love to canvas for them if they would contest from Mathura in the next Lok Sabha election," Hema had said.
During her campaign trail, Hema recently said that it will be dangerous for the country if someone else wins the elections. Highlighting various schemes and initiatives, she claimed that UPA never had the courage to do what PM Modi has done for the country.
