Bhupendra Patel, Jairam Thakur, Dimple Yadav: Where VIP Candidates Stand After Two Hours Of Counting
Apart from the Assembly elections, another important candidate to look out for is Samajwadi Party's Dimple Yadav who has been fielded by the party in the Mainpuri Lok Sabha bypoll.
New Delhi: As counting is underway for 182- member Guajrat Assembly, 68-members Himachal Pradesh Assembly and Mainpuri byelections, all eyes are on the VIP candidates in all these three places. On the cards are Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel, Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani, BJP leader Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakor, AAP CM candidate Isudan Gadhvi and cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife Rivaba Jadeja from Gujarat.
From Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Congress' Ajay Solanki, Congress' Vikramaditya Singh, BJP's Anil Sharma are some of the important candidates to look out for.

Gujarat Results 2022: VIP Candidates
Bhupendra Bhai Patel, BJP: Leading with 19,873 from Ghatlodia seat.
Alpesh Thakor, BJP: Leading with 1,241 from Gandhinagar South.
Jignesh Mevani, Congress: Trailing with 3,651 votes from Vadgam.
Hardik Patel, BJP: Leading with 17,759 from Viramgam seat.
Isudan Gadhvi, AAP: Leading with 10,254 from Khambhalia seat.
Rivaba Jadeja, BJP: Leading with 8,671 votes from Jamnagar North.

Himachal Pradesh Results 2022: VIP Candidates
Jai Ram Thakur, BJP: Leading with a total of 14,921 votes in his constituency Seraj.
Vikramaditya Singh, Congress: Leading with 8,627 votes from Shimla Rural.
Anil Sharma, BJP: Leading with 13,251 votes from Mandi.
Ajay Solanki, Congress: Leading with 6,803 votes from Nahan seat.
Mainpuri Lok Sabha Bypoll 2022
Dimple Yadav, SP: Leading with 25,000 votes from Mainpuri.
The polls to Gujarat Assembly were held in two phases with first phase on December 1 and teh second on December 5 while polls in Himachal Pradesh took place in a single phase on November 12.
Bypolls to Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat along with six other Assembly seats across five states were held on December 5. The bypolls in Mainpuri were necessitated after the demise of Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav.
