Gujarat's 182 Legislative Assembly constituency is called Vansda. It is only available to candidates from Scheduled Tribes.

The high-octane political battle that was going on during the campaign for the Gujarat Assembly elections has come down to a battle of ballots, which is currently taking place in the state.

While the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are attempting to capitalize on "anti-incumbency" and issues such as inflation and unemployment in order to gain power, the BJP, which is currently in charge of the state, exudes confidence in maintaining its 27-year rule.

There are 39 political parties competing in the elections, and they have put forward 788 candidates, including 70 women and 718 men.

The fate of 788 candidates competing in the first phase will be decided by 2,39,76,670 voters who will cast their ballots by 5 p.m. today.
