Will Avadh Ojha Win Over Youth And Purvanchalis In Poll Debut? Here's What Early Trends Of Vote Counting Say

Patparganj Election Result: In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, the Patparganj seat was won by AAP's Manish Sisodia, who defeated BJP candidate Ravinder Singh Negi, and Congress' Laxman Rawat.

Patparganj Election Result: The early trends shared by the Election Commission of India indicate that AAP's Awadh Ojha is trailing behind BJP's Ravinder Negi. The trends are for the counting of postal ballots. The EVM votes are yet to be counted. 

Patparganj Assembly constituency is one of the key constituencies in Delhi Assembly that went to polls on February 5. It is a general category seat and falls under the North East district. It holds significance as it has witnessed major political parties competing in intense battles over the years. This year too, the seat is witnessing a triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and the Congress.

The counting of votes began at 8 AM and the result will be declared today along with the other 70 Delhi constituencies . 

Key candidates in fray in Patparganj include AAP's Avadh Ojha, BJP candidate Ravinder Singh Negi. Meanwhile, Congress brought back its 2015 candidate Anil Chaudhary.  

Patparganj Assembly Constituency 2020 Results

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, the Patparganj seat was won by Aam Aadmi Party candidate Manish Sisodia, who defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Ravinder Singh Negi, and Congress candidate Laxman Rawat.

This year, AAP replaced its candidate for the Patparganj seat, replacing Manish Sisodia with Avadh Ojha, who is a prominent face in UPSC education. He joined the AAP in December last year in the presence of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.

Patparganj Assembly Constuituency 2015 Results

AAP candidate Manish Sisodia had also won the Delhi Assembly elections in 2015, securing 75,477 votes. He defeated BJP leader Vinod Kumar Binny and Congress candidate Anil Chaudhary.
