PM Modi Spots His Portrait Among Crowd During Delhi Election Rally, Asks For Address: 'Will Send Letter'. Watch
PM Modi highlighted BJP's tax relief policies, contrasting them with previous Congress governments during the RK Puram rally.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Delhi's RK Puram area on Sunday where he addressed a public meeting ahead of the assembly polls in the national capital.
Before beginning his speech, Modi spotted a portrait of himself among the crowd. He asked the Special Protection Group personnel, deployed for his security to bring the portrait to him. He also asked the artist to write the address on the portrait and said he would write a letter to the artist.
Referring to the Budget speech from the previous day, Modi attacked the Congress saying if a person earned Rs 12 lakh at the time of Nehru, one-fourth would have gone as tax.

"...If someone had a salary of Rs 12 lakhs at the time of Jawaharlal Nehru - one-fourth would have gone to tax; if today have been the govt of Indira Gandhi - Rs 10 lakhs of your 12 lakh would have gone to govt as tax," he said.
"Even just 10-12 years back, in Congres time - if you had a salary of Rs 12 lakhs - Rs 2,60,000 would have gone as a tax. After yesterday's budget of the BJP govt - those who earn Rs 12 lakh will not have to pay a single rupee as tax...," he said.
Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, Modi said, "Hum dekh rahe hain ki voting se pehale hi, jhaadu ke tinke bikhar rahe hain' (the straws of the broom are scattering')... Leaders of 'AAP-da' are leaving it, they know that people are angry with 'AAP-da', they (people) hate this party."
Modi exuded confidence saying BJP is forming the government in the national capital.
"The climate starts to change with Basant Panchami. A new Basant of development is going to come to Delhi after three days on February 5. This year, BJP will form government here," he said.
Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and party candidates and leaders Parvesh Verma, Kailash Gehlot, and Ramesh Bidhuri were also present during the event.
