Delhi Election: NCP's First Poll In Capital Since Ajit-Sharad Pawar Split
The NCP, which is a part of the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, has historically had limited success in Delhi. In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, the united NCP contested five seats but failed to win any. This will be the party’s first election in Delhi after its split into the Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar factions in July 2023.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal is facing a contest against BJP's Parvesh Verma and Congress's Sandeep Dikshit from the New Delhi constituency, while Delhi Congress has fielded former Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba against Atishi in Kalkaji.
The Delhi Assembly election is scheduled for February 5, with the counting of votes on February 8.
