‘Never Seen Such A Liar’: Shah On Kejriwal As He Launches Final Part Of BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' For Delhi Polls
Shah slammed Kejriwal for not fulfilling poll promises such as cleaning Yamuna, providing clean drinking water, and making Delhi pollution-free as he launched the final part of BJP's 'Sankalp Patra'.

Union Minister Amit Shah on Saturday released the final part of BJP's manifesto 'Sankalp Patra' ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on February 5. He accused the former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of not fulfilling the poll promises as he stressed that for BJP manifesto is a "to-do list" and not just "fake promises".
He further lashed out at Kejriwal for not fulfilling the promises of cleaning Yamuna, providing clean drinking water, and making Delhi pollution-free. Shah reiterated that no welfare schemes for poor will be discontinued in the city and stressed that the saffron party will fulfil its promises if voted to power in Delhi. He also claimed that the level of corruption was never so high as it is under Kejriwal-led AAP and that he had never seen a leader who "lied so blatantly".

The Home Minister, who launched the final part of the manifesto in the presence of Delhi BJP Chief Virendraa Sachdeva and other senior party leaders, promised that BJP will clean Yamuna within three years after coming to power in Delhi. He further said that BJP will form welfare board for gig workers, provide Rs 10 lakh insurance, and Rs 5 lakh accident cover.
"For BJP, our 'sankalp patra' is a list our to-do list. These are not fake promises. Since 2014, PM Narendra Modi has established politics of performance in the country... Delhi Pradesh BJP held meetings and consultations with women, youth, JJ clusters, unorganised labourers, middle class, professionals, traders, and slum dwellers. More than 1.08 lakh people gave their suggestions. 62 kinds of group meetings were held... This is how our manifesto came into being," he said.

Shah reiterated that the BJP manifesto has been made on the basis of the suggestions of more than 1.08 lakh people as he continued to take a dig at Kejriwal over his Civil Lines residence when he was the CM.
He said that Kejriwal used to say how none of his ministers would take a government bungalow and how he ended up building a 'sheesh mahal' for himself. He then went on to mention the alleged liquor scam in Delhi and also challenged the AAP National Convenor to take a dip in the Yamuna.
"Arvind Kejriwal doesn't say anything about the 'sheesh mahal'...I would say he should hold a presser and explain what was the need behind demolishing four bungalows to build a 'sheesh mahal' for himself...He must provide an answer," Shah said.
Continuing his attacks, Shah remarked that Kejriwal promised world-class hospitals to the people of Delhi, but gave nothing more than a facade of Mohalla Clinics. He accused him of focusing merely on publicity than fulfilling promises.
He further accused the AAP government of not taking action on the huge garbage piles in the city and not providing employment opportunities despite promising eight lakh jobs to Delhiites.
Voting to elect a new 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 5, with counting of votes scheduled for February 8.
