Kamal Nath Joins Meet On Rahul's Yatra In MP, LS Polls As Rumours Of BJP Switch Refuse To Die

Along with Kamal Nath, several other senior leaders, including Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari and Vivek Tankha, joined in the deliberations.

New Delhi: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress veteran Kamal Nath virtually participated in a key meeting of the party in Bhopal on Sunday. The primary agenda of the meeting revolved around strategising for the forthcoming Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, slated to traverse through the state later this week. The discussions also centred on the state's preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Along with Kamal Nath, several other senior leaders, including state Congress chief Jitu Patwari and Vivek Tankha, joined in the deliberations.

The meeting gains significance amid speculations regarding the future political moves of the Congress stalwart. Despite repeated assurances from his associates reaffirming his commitment to the party and dismissing any notions of a potential defection to the ruling BJP, the rumour mill continues to churn.

Addressing the meeting, Kamal Nath highlighted the crucial tasks at hand, emphasising the upcoming visit of Rahul Gandhi and the preparations for the Lok Sabha polls. He stressed the need for grassroot involvement, asserting that the success of the party’s outreach drive such as the Nyay yatra hinges significantly on the active participation of the local people.

"Our focus lies on two key fronts – facilitating Rahul Gandhi’s forthcoming visit and gearing up for the Lok Sabha polls,” he said.

Nath also underscored the importance of creating a conducive electoral environment through the momentum generated by initiatives like the Nyay yatra.

Talking about the elections, Kamal Nath said the names of all those candidates that have been finalised for the upcoming elections should start working.

"My commitment to the Lok Sabha elections remains steadfast, akin to my previous campaigns. I am ready to go anywhere I am needed," Kamal Nath added.
