'Political Mafia Giving Direct Challenge To Indore's Identity': Cong's Jitu Patwari Attacks Scindia Over 'Land Grab' Issue
Sharing a video on X, Patwari alleged that there is a 'political mafia' in MP, which has given a direct challenge to the identity of Indore.
Congress leader and Madhya Pradesh unit chief Jitendra Patwari launched a scathing attack on Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday over the issue of "land grabbing" in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. Sharing a video on social media platform X, Patwari alleged that there is a "political mafia" existing in the state, which has given a direct challenge to the identity of the city.
In the video shared by the Congress leader, Scindia can be seen surrounded by people, and one person from the crowd is engaged in a conversation with him. Scindia, who was in Congress during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, has not been named in any candidate list released by the BJP so far. He conceded defeat in Guna in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
"My land has been captured by the mafias, the entire city knows about it. The MLA came 10 times, I requested him, told him sir this is my land and these are the papers," the person can be heard saying in the video. "It has happened with me, I paid 1 crore rupees, I did not sit on my shop for 1 year," he further said. Trying to console him, Scindia replied, "You know Scindia family....for 5 years you people did not keep me here, I was not an MP from here in the last 5 years. If you want the existing atmosphere to change, give me the power."
In his post on X, Patwari said that Jyotiraditya Scindia is one of the few faces of the government that is why the oppressed people are pleading to him. He also urged the people of Indore to come forward to protect the rights of common citizens and also to maintain the existence of democracy.
"Respected voters of Indore and Madhya Pradesh. We have to save the pride of Indore Watch this video carefully and listen to it very carefully. He is one of the few faces of the government. He is the MP and minister of the state. That is why the oppressed/tortured people are pleading to him," Patwari said in the post.
Continuing his attack on the alleged 'land grab issue," the Congress leader asked the people do they feel that anyone has occupied their land or that any businessman is feeling that there is "hooliganism" in the city? In a veiled jibe at the BJP-led central government, Patwari said that dictatorial forces are poisoning democracy and there is a need to fight this together.
"Indore residents, Do you also feel that someone has occupied your land? Or can someone ever occupy it? Do the businessmen/traders living in Indore feel that hooliganism has become a part of the city's air like a fashion? The truth is that the "political mafia" #Indore is responsible for such a situation! Which has now given a direct challenge to Indori identity! People of the state, To protect the rights of common citizens, to maintain the existence of democracy, we have to come forward to protect the Constitution! In the Amrit Kaal of Independence, dictatorial forces are poisoning democracy! We have to fight this together! Every person has to be united!," he further stated.

On Monday, Congress' Indore Lok Sabha candidate Akshay Bam withdrew his nomination and joined the saffron party. Patwari claimed that Bam was "threatened and tortured" following which he withdraw his nomination. "Three days ago, IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) was added to an old case against Bam. He was threatened. He was tortured in different ways for the whole night. And today he has withdrawn his nomination," Patwari alleged at a rally on Monday, as quoted by PTI. Bam, his father Kantilal and others are accused in a case that was registered in October 2007.
