'BJP Lost In Karnataka Because Bhupesh Baghel...': Tejasvi Surya's Big Claim On Chhattisgarh CM

Surya had earlier chastised Congress in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) resolution for its handling of the recent terror attack on Israel.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) National President and Member of Parliament, Tejasvi Surya claimed that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel diverted funds to Karnataka, resulting in the state's electoral defeat in the southern state. He vowed that Chhattisgarh's youth would rise up against corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement policies, ensuring the BJP's presence in the state. He made his statements during a visit to Chhattisgarh's capital, Raipur, on Wednesday.

Surya also chastised Congress in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) resolution for its handling of the recent terror attack on Israel. According to Surya, the Congress' failure to adequately condemn the attack was due to vote bank politics.

Surya, speaking to reporters at the Swami Vivekananda Airport, not only criticised the Congress but also the state's ruling Congress government, alleging a widespread scandal in the state Public Service Commission (PSC) recruitment process. Surya was in Raipur to speak at a BJYM state unit workshop, according to a report by news agency PTI.

Chhattisgarh is preparing for state assembly elections, which will be held in two phases on November 7 and 17, with results expected on December 3.

The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict served as the backdrop for Tejasvi Surya's criticism of the Congress. On Monday, the CWC reaffirmed its support for Palestinian rights and called for an immediate ceasefire, as well as negotiations to resolve outstanding issues. The Congress maintained that there were no disagreements within the party about the CWC resolution on Hamas, citing former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's support for the Palestinian people.

Surya responded to Israel's attack by emphasising the importance of distinguishing between Hamas and Palestine. He referred to Hamas as a terrorist organisation, comparing it to groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and ISIS. He emphasised that the world should unite in condemning such terrorist acts, and he expressed disappointment with the Congress' response.

Tejasvi Surya has vowed to fight for justice on behalf of the state's youth, whom he claims have suffered as a result of the Congress government's policies. He promised that the BJP would win the upcoming assembly elections.

"I am extremely happy and proud that the issue of the alleged PSC scam raised by the Yuva Morcha has resulted in a stay order from the court (Chhattisgarh High Court). I believe that in the future, every state government in the country, including Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Karnataka (all of which are Congress-ruled), will have an opportunity to reform their PSC system," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
