BJP To Contest Haryana Assembly Polls Alone Under CM Nayab Singh Saini's Leadership: Amit Shah

The BJP will contest the upcoming Haryana assembly elections independently. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence in securing a full majority under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's leadership.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest the upcoming Haryana assembly elections independently, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Shah expressed confidence that the party will secure a full majority and form the government for a third consecutive term.

Addressing BJP leaders and workers during a meeting of the party's extended state executive at Panchkula, Shah stated unequivocally that the BJP will not enter into any alliances for the state polls, which are scheduled to take place before October this year.

The Haryana BJP's official X account posted a video of Shah remarking, "Under the leadership of Modi ji and Nayab Singh Saini, we are going to win the trust of the people of Haryana once again. The BJP must move forward with confidence in victory. In the last 10 years, we have worked to bring about change in Haryana. In the past, one government would come and corruption would increase, and another government would come, bringing a reign of strongmen."

"The party does not need any crutches. We will form a government with complete majority," Shah can be heard saying.

He also thanked party workers and acknowledged the significant role of the people of Haryana in re-electing Modi as Prime Minister for a third term.

He further emphasised, "Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third time with a full majority."

BJP Leader Kiran Choudhary Credits Amit Shah's Speech For Infusing Zeal In Party Workers

The meeting, held in the multipurpose hall of the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, was not open to the media. In March this year, the BJP replaced Manohar Lal Khattar with Nayab Singh Saini, an OBC leader, as the Chief Minister of Haryana, marking a strategic move ahead of the elections.

BJP leader Kiran Choudhary highlighted Shah's motivational address, noting that he "infused fresh zeal and enthusiasm in party workers", news agency PTI reported. Prominent attendees included Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is also the BJP's election in-charge for Haryana, Chief Minister Saini, and the party's co-incharge Biplab Kumar Deb. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar was also present.

The gathering saw a significant turnout of senior leaders, including Rajya Sabha member Subhash Barala, Lok Sabha MPs Naveen Jindal and Dharambir Singh, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi. Other notable attendees included senior state-level BJP leaders, ministers, MLAs, and approximately 4,500 party workers from all 90 assembly constituencies.

Following the meeting, Shah held discussions with state unit office-bearers. An exhibition showcasing the state government's initiatives and schemes, such as the abolition of minimum monthly charges for domestic electricity consumers and the provision of minimum support prices on 14 crops, was also organised at the venue.
