Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav To Lead INDIA Bloc Protest Against Bihar Voter List Revision

This INDIA bloc demonstration, addressing minimum wage demands and labor concerns, precedes the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav will come together on Wednesday to lead a statewide protest in Bihar against the Election Commission's decision to revise electoral rolls and the implementation of the new labour code.

The "chakka jam" or the road blockade coincides with Bharat Bandh called by 10 central trade unions and their affiliates across India. The nationwide strike demands minimum wage and a new labour code, among other issues.

The INDIA bloc protest comes ahead of the Assembly elections in Bihar, which are slated to take place later this year.

Gandhi will join the protest march at 10 am in Patna against the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters' rolls. The protest march will begin from the Income Tax at Golambar to the Election Commission office. Tejashwi Yadav will also join the protest march.

Mahagathbandhan parties, including the RJD, Congress, Left parties, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), and independent leader Pappu Yadav, are organising the protest march.

The march started at some places with early visuals from Hajipur, where RJD supporters blocked the Gandhi Setu. RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan led the blockade in Sonpur.
