Breaking News HIGHLIGHTS: Hello and welcome to ABP Live blog to find all the latest news from the polling battlegrounds of Uttar Pradesh and Manipur.

The fourth phase of voting In Uttar Pradesh will be held today. The destiny of 624 candidates in 59 Assembly segments in the districts of Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Banda, and Fatehpur will be decided in the fourth phase of voting tomorrow.

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP won 51 of the 59 seats, while the Samajwadi Party won four and the Bahujan Samaj Party won three. 

As many as 800 companies of paramilitary forces and over 60,000 policemen will provide security across 59 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh.

Campaigning for the fifth phase of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a swipe at the Opposition, saying they looted the country in the name of "garibi hatao and Samajwad (socialism)". 

He also assured the people that this time BJP would notch its fourth consecutive win in Uttar Pradesh.

On the other hand, some youths disrupted the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's election address on the topic of Army recruitment, while a man was detained after raising slogans in support of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav at rally in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia.

The minister was speaking at a rally in Banshi Bazar when the youths disrupted is speech and claimed that recruitment in the Army was on hold for three years now.

With Manipur going into polls next week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited the state on Tuesday and addressed election rallies in Imphal. Urging the first-time voters to exercise their right to franchise, PM Modi said that the upcoming polls are going to decide 25 years of the state.

He further said that the state government which will be formed after the election will build the future of Manipur and the double engine government has been paving the way for the development of northeast.
