Will BJP's Alliance With JD(S) In Karnataka Boost Its 2024 LS Poll Prospects? ABP-CVoter Survey Finds Out

ABP News in association with CVoter conducted an opinion poll to know what voters think about how much benefit BJP will get in Karnataka in forming an alliance with JDS.

The end of assembly elections in the five states sounded the trumpet for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with all parties preparing for the ultimate contest. While the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance seeks a third straight term, the Opposition parties have banded together to challenge the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In order to gather strength ahead of the upcoming polls, BJP is also making every possible effort to expand its clan. Earlier in September this year, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's party Janata Dal (Secular) has become a part of the National Democratic Alliance. The BJP and JD (S) have historically had a strong base of support among Lingayats and Vokkaligas, respectively. Karnataka's two numerically prominent social groups are the Lingayats and Vokkaligas, which in turn can help BJP in the upcoming elections.

With political temperatures soaring high amid the winters of December, ABP News in association with CVoter conducted an opinion poll to know what voters think about how much benefit BJP will get in Karnataka in forming an alliance with JDS.

The survey of 13,115 people included voters of all ages, education levels, income levels, and social backgrounds.

According to the survey, a total of 42.1 per cent of respondents think that the alliance will benefit BJP in upcoming elections, while 36.8 per cent thinks that it will not help the saffron party. Meanwhile, 21.2 per cent of the voters were not sure or did not know whether the alliance would help BJP in the general elections.
