West Delhi: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 268586 votes. The polling / voting in West Delhi constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Pravesh Verma and Congress Party#s Mahabal Mishra

West Delhi 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 7 out of the 7 parliamentary seat with 46.4 percent vote share while the Aam Aadmi Party managed to win just seats with a 34.9 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in West Delhi Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 66.10% Lok Sabha percent with 67.04% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Out of the 17 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from West Delhi, 15 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Jarnail Singh by a margin of 268586 votes.

• 2009 Lok Sabha Elections: In 15th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Mahabal Mishra attained 479899 votes and BJP's Prof. Jagdish Mukhi bagged 302971 votes.
