Valmiki Nagar: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Satish Chandra Dubey from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 117795 votes. The polling / voting in Valmiki Nagar constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Janata Dal (United)#s Baidyanath Prasad Mahto and Congress Party#s Shashwat kedar

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.
