Sidhi: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Riti Pathak from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 108046 votes. The polling / voting in Sidhi constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Riti Pathak and Congress Party#s Ajay singh rahul

Sidhi 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 27 out of the 29 parliamentary seat with 54 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 34.9 percent vote share.

The total voter turnout was 56.99% Lok Sabha percent with 59.85% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 53.80% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 17350 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Sidhi, 12 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Riti Pathak of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Indrajeet Kumar by a margin of 108046 votes.

Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Chandrapratap Singh attained 210198 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Tilakraj Singh bagged 160633 votes
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Indian National Congress here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 4855 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 46532 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Jagannath Singh attained 275803 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Tilak Raj Singh bagged 229271 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between AIIC(T) and Bharatiya Janta Party here AIIC(T) candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 8204 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 31624 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Motilal Singh attained 162892 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Jagannath Singh bagged 131268 votes
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 49867 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Jagannath Singh attained 222776 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Motilal Singh bagged 172909 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Motilal Singh attained 223248 votes and BJP's Jagannath Singh bagged 103279 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JNP candidate by a margin of 70685 votes INC(I) candidate Moti Lal Singh had got 143427 while JNP got Sita Pratap Singh votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 76473 votes BLD candidate Surya Narayan Singh had got 141968 while INC got Rana Bahadur Singh votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Independent candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, IND candidate Ranbahadur Singh attained 158021 votes and INC's Keshav Prasad Singh bagged 52617 votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated PSP candidate by a margin of 82383 votes INC candidate B.P. Singh had got 132069 while PSP got R.S. Tiwari votes.
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and SOC here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his SOC counterpart with a difference of 8029 votes.
