From Here, Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Abdul Rehman, Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Kaushal Mishra while Ch Mateen Ahmed is contesting on a Congress Party ticket.   • 2008 Assembly Elections:In 5th Assembly election, INC candidate defeated BJP candidate with a difference of 26274 votes. Here, INC leader Ch. Mateen Ahmed attained 47820 votes and BJP candidate Sita Ram Gupta bagged 21546 votes.

  • 2013 Assembly Elections: In 6th Assembly election, INC candidate defeated BJP candidate with a difference of 21728 votes. Here, INC leader Chaudhary Mateen Ahmad attained 46452 votes and BJP candidate Kaushal Kumar Mishra bagged 24724 votes.
