Pune: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Anil Shirole from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 315769 votes. The polling / voting in Pune constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Girish Bapat and Congress Party#s Mohan joshi

Pune 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 23 out of the 48 parliamentary seat with 27.3 percent vote share while the Shiv Sena managed to win just 18 seats with a 20.6 percent vote share.

Out of the 29 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Pune, 27 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Anil Shirole of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Dr.Vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam by a margin of 315769 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 73176 votes INC candidate Kalmadi Suresh had got 373774 while BJP got Pradip Trimbak Rawat votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 91285 votes BJP candidate Pradeep Rawat had got 304955 while INC got Joshi Mohan votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Independent candidate by a margin of 93218 votes INC candidate Tupe Vitthal Baburao had got 434915 while IND got Kalmadi Suresh votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 86995 votes INC candidate Suresh Kalmadi had got 390778 while BJP got Girish Bapat votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 16938 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Anna Joshi attained 250272 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Gadgil Vitthalrao Narhar bagged 233334 votes
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 8181 votes.

  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 48167 votes. Here, BLD leader Mohan Dharia attained 209922 votes and INC candidate Vasant Thorat bagged 161755 votes

उत्तर प्रदेश में लोकसभा चुनाव के चौथे चरण के तहत सोमवार को दोपहर तीन बजे तक 43.91 फीसदी मतदाताओं ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया. कार्यालय ने बताया कि दोपहर तीन बजे तक औसतन 43.91 फीसदी मतदान हुआ.
