The polling / voting in Dum Dum constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Samik Bhattacharya and All India Trinamool Congress#s Sougata Roy

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Communist Party of India candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Tapan Sikdar attained 614471 votes and CPM's Anil Bhattacharya bagged 479910 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Communist Party of India candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Tapan Sikdar attained 631383 votes and CPM's Nirmal Kanti Chatterjee bagged 493978 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Communist Party of India candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 58291 votes CPM candidate Nirmal Kanti Chatterjee had got 580455 while INC got Ashutosh Laha votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Nirmal Kanti Chatterjee attained 446564 votes and INC's Lal Bahadur Singh bagged 341699 votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Nirmal Kanti Chatterjee attained 556139 votes and INC's Asutosh Law bagged 439135 votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Communist Party of India here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Communist Party of India counterpart with a difference of 2703 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha poll, Communist Party of India candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, CPM candidate Niren Ghosh attained 368214 votes and INC(I)'s Barid Baran Das bagged 202542 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defeated CPI candidate with a difference of 21780 votes. Here, BLD leader Asoke Krishna Dutt attained 215766 votes and CPI candidate Indrajit Gupta bagged 193986 votes

बांग्लादेश ने इतिहास रचते हुए दक्षिण अफ्रीका को 21 रन से हरा दिया है. 331 के लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी अफ्रीकी टीम 50 ओवर में 8 विकेट खोकर 309 रन ही बना पाई.

क्रिस मॉरिस 10 गेंद में 10 रन बनाकर रहमान का शिकार बने. दक्षिण को जीत के लिए 25 गेंद में 56 रन की जरूरत है और वह अपने 7 विकेट गंवा चुकी है. बांग्लादेश ने इस मैच पर अपनी पकड़ पूरी तरह से मजबूत कर ली है.
