Dharmapuri: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Anbumani Ramadoss from Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) won the elections by a margin of 77146 votes. The polling / voting in Dharmapuri constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Pattali Makkal Katchi#s Anbumani Ramadoss and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam#s Dr S Senthil Kumar
Dharmapuri 2014 Lok Sabha PollsIn the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won 37 out of the 39 parliamentary seat with 44.3 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 5.5 percent vote share.

- 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Pattali Makkal Katchi candidate defeated All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate with a difference of 25540 votes. Here, Pattali Makkal Katchi leader Elangovan, P.D. attained 340162 votes and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate Munusamy, K.P. bagged 314622 votes
- 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Pattali Makkal Katchi candidate had defeated TMC(M) candidate by a margin of 99427 votes PMK candidate Pary Mohan K. had got 341917 while TMC(M) got Theertharaman P. votes.
- 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, TMC(M) candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, TMC(M) candidate Theertharaman.P attained 297166 votes and INC's Subramaniyam.M.P bagged 165920 votes.
- 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Pattali Makkal Katchi candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Thangka Balu K.V. attained 322138 votes and PMK's Elangovan P.D. bagged 171649 votes.
