Bhongir: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the elections by a margin of 30544 votes. The polling / voting in Bhongir constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telangana Rashtra Samithi#s Boora Narsaiah Goud and Congress Party#s Komatireddy venkat reddy

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Rashtra Samithi won 11 out of the 17 parliamentary seat with 33.9 percent vote share while the Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 20.5 percent vote share.

Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bhongir, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Dr. Boora Narsaiah Goud of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as he defeated Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy by a margin of 30544 votes.
