Bansgaon: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kamlesh Paswan from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 189516 votes. The polling / voting in Bansgaon constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Kamlesh Paswan and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Sadal Prasad

Bansgaon 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bansgaon, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Kamlesh Paswan of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Sadal Prasad by a margin of 189516 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bahujan Samaj Party candidate with a difference of 16441 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mahaveer Prasad attained 180388 votes and Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Sadal Prasad bagged 163947 votes
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Samajwadi Party here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Samajwadi Party counterpart with a difference of 9688 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 30540 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Raj Narain Pashi attained 217433 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Subhavati Paswan bagged 186893 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 26169 votes. Here, Samajwadi Party leader Subhawati Debi attained 203591 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Raj Narain bagged 177422 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 26141 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Raj Naraiyan attained 124578 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Mahavir Prasad bagged 98437 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Independent candidate with a difference of 10329 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mahabir Prasad attained 162587 votes and Independent candidate Phirangi Prasad Visharad bagged 152258 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated ICJ candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Mahavir Prasad attained 232747 votes and ICJ's Ram Surat bagged 58518 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 32061 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mahabir Prasad attained 122269 votes and JNP candidate Ram Surat bagged 90208 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Phirangi Prasad attained 225143 votes and INC's Sukh Deo Prasad bagged 74053 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated SSP candidate by a margin of 90024 votes INC candidate Ram Surat had got 117860 while SSP got Molhu votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between SSP and INC here SSP candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 8606 votes.
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 49050 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mahadeo Prasad attained 72894 votes and PSP candidate Patras bagged 23844 votes

मोदी सरकार 2 की पहली कैबिनेट मीटिंग में पहला फैसला किया गया है और इसके तहत नेशनल डिफेंस फंड के तहत स्कॉलरशिप बढ़ा दी गई है. नेशनल डिफेंस फंड के तहत प्रधानमंत्री स्कॉलरशिप स्कीम में इजाफा किया गया है. इस छात्रवृत्ति के तहत लड़कों को मिलने वाली स्कॉलरशिप को 2000 रुपये प्रतिमाह से बढ़ाकर 2500 रुपये कर दिया गया है और लड़कियों को मिलने वाली स्कॉलरशिप को 2250 रुपये से बढ़कार 3000 रुपये कर दी गई है.
