The polling / voting in Anantnag constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3, Ph on . The major contest is between People's Democratic Party#s Mehbooba Mufti and Jammu & Kashmir National Conference#s Hasnain Masoodi

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 3 out of the 6 parliamentary seat with 34.4 percent vote share while the Jammu & Kashmir People's Democratic Party managed to win just 3 seats with a 20.5 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Anantnag Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 28.84% Lok Sabha percent with 30.90% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 26.57% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 5936 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference candidate defeated Independent candidate with a difference of 13492 votes. Here, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference leader Ali Mohd Naik attained 38745 votes and Independent candidate Mufti Mohmad Syeed bagged 25253 votes
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Jammu & Kashmir National Conference candidate by a margin of 52000 votes INC candidate Mufti Mohmad Sayeed had got 120444 while JKN got Mohd. Yusuf Teng votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 58084 votes JD candidate Mohamad Maqbool had got 117221 while INC got Taj Mohi-Ud-Din votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference candidate defeated Independent candidate with a difference of 35869 votes. Here, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference leader P.L.Handoo attained 36055 votes and Independent candidate Abdul Rashid Khan bagged 186 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 82010 votes JKN candidate Akbar Jahan Begum had got 240973 while INC got Peer Hussan-Ud-Din votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference candidate had defeated Independent candidate by a margin of 83970 votes JKN candidate Gh. Rasool Kochak had got 179020 while IND got Ali Mohd. Naik votes.

Punjab Board result 2019 merit list released: Neha Verma tops with 99.54%, 3 students secure 100% under sports category

Neha Verma is a student of Teja Singh Sutantar school has clinched the coveted top spot by scoring 99.54%. While Nandini Mahajan, Ritika and Neeraj Yadav scored 100% to become toppers in sports category.
