The UP Examination Regulatory Authority has released the notification for UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2018 giving details on eligibility criteria along with examination details. The online application process will continue till 20^th December 2018; however, interested candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying for this bumper teacher recruitment drive in the state of Uttar Pradesh and understand the examination pattern to prepare well for the exam and avail this mega opportunity. Examination Pattern: The recruitment exam will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each, i.e. the exam paper will be of total 150 marks divided into various sections viz:

1. Languages – English, Sanskrit, Hindi – 40 marks
2. Science – 10 marks
3. Mathematics – 20 marks
4. Environmental and Social Studies – 10 marks
5. Teaching Ability & Methodology – 10 marks
6. Child Psychology – 10 marks
7. General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 30 marks
8. Logical Reasoning – 5 marks
9. Information Technology – 5 marks
10.  Life Skill, Aptitude and Management – 5 marks

The questions will be given bilingually in English and Hindi languages. Examination Details: The examination of teaching assistant will be conducted at 18 headquarters of ERA from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on 6^th January 2019. The result shall be announced by the board within 16 days, 22^nd January 2019. As per the official notification, the examination result will be taken into consideration for this recruitment drive only, in contrast with the UPTET 2018 exam certificate which is valid for five years. Examination Type: The recruitment exam will contain multiple choice questions based on Optical Mark Reader aka OMR sheet. “We are introducing the optical mark reader (OMR) sheets for recruitment of 69,000 additional teachers. In the last examination, there were mistakes in the evaluation of answer sheets. Candidates challenged the evaluation process, moved court and fresh re-evaluation was ordered.
