Rajasthan's RTE lottery draw for free private school admissions in the 2025-26 session will take place on April 9, with 3.14 lakh student applications received.

Rajasthan’s Education Department will conduct the online lottery draw on April 9 for free admission to private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the academic session 2025-26. This year, the department received 6,000 more applications compared to the previous year.

Between March 25 and April 7, the department invited online applications for free admission in Nursery and Class 1. A total of 3.14 lakh students have applied for admission across 31,500 private schools in the state, up from 3.08 lakh applications last year.

4,500 Schools Receive No Application

Most applicants opted for top-tier private schools, resulting in 4,500 private schools receiving zero applications. According to RTE rules, each applicant can choose up to five schools, leading to around 9.90 lakh school preferences submitted overall.

Education Minister Madan Dilawar will announce the lottery results today at 10:30 AM from the Education Complex, determining the priority order of all 3.14 lakh applicants through an online draw. Parents of selected students must complete online reporting to the allotted schools by April 15.

Key Dates for RTE Admission Process

April 9-21: Selected schools will verify application documents.

April 9–24: Parents can make corrections in the submitted documents.

By April 28: Final verification by schools will be completed.

May 9: First round of seat allotment for free admission in private schools.
