WB Madhyamik Board Exam 2022 Out: Arnab Gharai, Raunak Mandal Secure Top Position, Check Toppers’ List

According to the result announced, 88.59 per cent of boys passed the exam whereas among girls the pass percentage was at 85 per cent; much lower than overall pass percentage

New Delhi:  Arnab Gharai of Ram Haripur Ramakrishna Mission from Bankura and Raunak Mandal of Burdwan CMS School have jointly secured the first position in the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) results announced on Friday. The WBBSE Class 10 result was released on its official website on Friday. Mousiki Sarkar came second in the examination while third place went to Ananya Dasgupta (Madhyamik Rank Holders). The Board has announced the toppers name along with pass percentage and other details at the press conference at 9 am. The overall pass percentage recorded this year is 86.60 percent. 

In a reverse trend this year, boys have performed better than girls. Even though the number of girls taking exam was more, it is the boys who have performed better. According to WBBSE, 88.59 per cent of boys passed the exam whereas among girls the pass percentage was at 85 per cent; much lower than overall pass percentage. The first rank has been secured by male students.

Abhishek Dutt came fourth in the exam this time and scored 690. Srutarshi Tripathi, a student of Pathabhavan School in Kolkata also came fourth with 690 marks. Around 11 students have secured fifth position including Sabina Yasmin from Burdwan,  Paulmi Bera from Jhargram with 689 among others.

About 11 lakh students have taken the exam. The number of female students is 11 per cent more than male students.

Distrcict wise pass percentage

This year also East Medinipur is ahead of all other regions in the passing rate. The pass rate in East Midnapore is 97.83 percent. Kalimpong, West Midnapore, Kolkata have a pass rate of over 94 per cent. The pass rate in North 24 Parganas is 91.98 per cent. The pass rate in South 24 Parganas is 89.08 per cent. The pass rate in Jhargram is 92.59 per cent while Kolkata has 94.36 per cent passing rate.

This year, the number of female students in the secondary examination was 11 percent more than the male students, which is about 120,000. The pass rate of boys in this bar is 8.60 percent. The pass rate of girls is 75 percent (Girl Students).

WBBSE Madhyamik Result 2022 | LIVE Updates

The WBBSE Madhyamik Pareeksha was held from March 7 to March 16. Around 11.8 lakh students took the WB Madhyamik 2022 exam. Over 6 lakh of them were females.
