The Uttar Pradesh Constable recruitment exam was re-conducted following the cancellation of the February 17 and 18 exams due to paper leaks. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the cancellation to ensure the process could be restarted and conducted transparently within six months. The original February exam had a turnout of over 48 lakh candidates, including nearly 16 lakh women, at 2,835 centres across all 75 districts of the state.
Candidates who pass the written examination will be required to appear for the Physical Endurance Test (PET). For the PET, candidates must carry a valid ID, a passport-sized photograph, and a printed copy of their e-admit card. No candidate will be allowed to participate without the admit card. This recruitment drive aims to fill 60,244 vacancies in the department.
