Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has clarified that the UP Board Class 10 and 12 results for 2025 will not be released on April 15. Contrary to viral reports claiming a result announcement at 2 PM on Tuesday, the board has called these claims fake. 

According to the official notification, the evaluation process has been completed and the result preparation is currently in the final stages. Sources suggest that the UP Board results are expected to be declared by April 31, possibly after April 20. Last year, the results were announced on April 20.

This year, over 55 lakh students registered for the Class 10 (high school) and Class 12 (intermediate) exams, with 51.37 lakh appearing. Students and parents across the state are eagerly waiting for the results.

UP’s Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi has assured that the results will be released soon and hinted at a "very good" overall performance this year. Once declared, students can check their results on the official websites:

What Is The Passing Criteria For Passing The UP Board Exams?

To pass the UP Board exams, students must score at least 33% marks in each subject individually as well as in overall aggregate.

Those failing in one or two subjects may appear for compartment exams. Failing in more than two subjects will result in overall failure. This would require the students to appear for the exams again next year.

This year, the answer sheet evaluation involved 1,34,723 teachers across 261 evaluation centres across Uttar Pradesh.

Final preparations are underway for the generation of mark sheets and certificates. The UP Board is expected to officially announce the result date very soon.
