Exam Overview

The 2nd PUC Exam 1 for the academic year 2025 was conducted from March 1 to March 20 across Karnataka.

The scores obtained in these board exams are pivotal for admission into undergraduate programs, including technical and medical streams. Colleges across Karnataka consider only the 2nd PUC marks during the admissions process.

What Is 2nd PUC?

In Karnataka’s education system, the Pre-University Course (PUC) serves as the bridge between high school and undergraduate studies. It spans two years — the first year is termed 1st PUC (Class 11) and the second year is 2nd PUC (Class 12). Successful completion of 2nd PUC is essential for gaining entry into colleges and universities.

How to check Karnataka 2nd PUC Results

Students can follow these steps to access their marks online:

  • Go to the official result websites: karresults.nic.in or kseab.karnataka.gov.in

Evaluation Criteria

The board uses an 80+20 evaluation model with 80 marks allotted to the final written exam and the remaining 20 marks based on internal assessments conducted at the school level.

To pass the 2nd PUC exam, students must achieve a minimum of 35% in each subject. This includes scoring at least 25 marks in theory papers and 11 marks in practical assessments, where applicable.
