The much-awaited results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 are expected to be declared on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Roorkee. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website, https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in, using their registration credentials.

How to Check Your GATE 2025 Results

The GATE 2025 examination was conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 across multiple sessions. To access their results, candidates should follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official GATE 2025 website: https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  2. Click on the "GATE 2025 Results" link on the home page.
  3. Log in using your enrolment ID or registered email address and password.
  4. Enter the captcha code and submit.
  5. Your result will appear on the screen. Download it and take a printout for future reference.

Scorecard Availability

The GATE 2025 scorecards will be available for download starting March 28, 2025, and will remain free of charge until May 31, 2025.

After this period, candidates can still access their scorecards by paying a fee of Rs 500 per test paper until December 31, 2025. The scorecard will include details such as marks obtained, All India Rank (AIR), and qualifying marks.

Documents Required

To view and download their results, candidates must log in to the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal with their registration number and date of birth. These details can be found on their admit cards.

Expected Cut-Offs For GATE 2025

The official cut-off scores for GATE 2025 will be released alongside the results. The cut-offs vary by subject and category (General, OBC-NCL/EWS, SC/ST/PwD). Based on trends from previous years, an increase in cut-off marks is anticipated for several subjects due to heightened competition and changes in exam difficulty levels.

Candidates who meet the qualifying cut-off will be eligible to apply for admission to postgraduate programmes like MTech or PhD at top IITs. The GATE score remains valid for three years from the date of the result declaration.
