Ramesh Pokhriyal Speech: Schedule For 2021 Exams To Be Announced ‘On Time’, No Plans To Cancel NEET

The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal answered various queries on the upcoming Board and competitive exams. While the datasheet was not announced he said it will be notified well in advance.

New Delhi: The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal took queries regarding the upcoming exams during his live session today. But unlike what was being anticipated by students, he did not announce the schedule for CBSE, JEE, or NEET exams. Pokhriyal said that the board exams will be held, and if the situation does not improve in the near future, then students will be allowed more time. To the question regarding JEE 2021, he said, “We are working on the schedule for JEE exams and also looking into suggestions to increase the number of attempts for the exams." For the question on the mode of NEET exams he said that they are the 'best possible solution will be developed but NEET will be held offline due to the requirement of the exams. He said that NEET exams will not be cancelled. In a tweet he had written, 'Dear Teachers, Parents & Students, happy to share that I am going live on Dec10 at 10 am to talk about upcoming competitive/board exams with you. Drop your concerns below using #EducationMinisterGoesLive.' Regarding CBSE exams, the board recently stated that no final decision regarding dates of examination and other details has been taken so far. "No final decision has been taken regarding the dates for the conduct of board exams, and consultations with stakeholders are still in process. The exams, as and when they are conducted, will be in the written mode and not in an online mode. The exams will be conducted following all COVID protocols," said a senior CBSE official said.
