NEET Row: CBI Arrests Hindi Newspaper Journalist In NEET Paper Leak Case
NEET Row: CBI has arrested a journalist in connection with the NEET UG paper leak case. The journalist has been identified as Jamalludin Ansari.
NEET Row: The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has arrested a journalist in connection with the NEET UG paper leak case. The journalist has been identified as Jamalludin Ansari. On Friday, the CBI arrested the principal and vice-principal of a school in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, along with the journalist regarding the NEET UG paper leak. Ehsanul Haque, the principal of Oasis School, was made the city coordinator of Hazaribagh for the medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 5, 2024. Journalist Jamaluddin Ansari was arrested for allegedly attempting to assist the principal and vice-principal.
The CBI arrested people in Bihar on June 27, 2024, for leaking the NEET UG exam papers. Two individuals, Manish Prakash and Asutosh, were arrested in Patna. Currently, the CBI is investigating six cases of NEET paper leaks in Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan.
In a statement, the EOU claimed the leaked NEET UG 2024 question paper was allegedly sourced from Oasis School by Sanjeev Kumar, alias Lutan Mukhiya gang. Investigators found a partially burned question paper in Patna that matched the official reference paper provided by the NTA, confirming the leak. However, they are still unsure where exactly the paper leak started.

CBI Conducts Searches In Seven Locations In Gujarat
The CBI conducted searches at seven locations in Gujarat in connection with the NEET UG paper leak case, officials reported on Saturday. The operation started in the morning at the residences of suspects located across four districts: Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Godhra.
Till now CBI has registered six FIRs in the NEET UG paper leak case, which include its own FIR on a reference from the Union education ministry and five from the states where it took over the investigation. The probe agency has taken over one case each in Bihar and Gujarat and three in Rajasthan.
